Manufacturing
Ensuring that innovative design translates into reliable, durable and consistent equipment is the responsibility of Chelton's two autonomous manufacturing modules. The first specialising in the manufacture of antennas, the secondin avionics equipment.
Recent successes include the Aircraft Collision Avoidance System (ACAS), extended range tuned antennas and logic units (30-512MHz), 935 series Direction Finding Systems and export orders for airborne TETRA and mINCAN (Miniaturised Interference Cancellation System).
Chelton has been the world's leading discharger manufacturer for over six decades, supplying to most of the major airlines and air forces around the globe. The company also provides many air force aircraft with low profile and flush mounted antennas.
Within the purpose built 95,000 sq ft facilities at the new Chelton Centre, as well as adjacent test and prototyping sites in Marlow, UK, Chelton has over 200 engineers, technicians and inspectors directly involved in the manufacturing processes.
In an industry in which quality and engineering precision are paramount, the company has achieved the highest recognition for its design and manufacturing capabilities.
