The Mechanical Design Group (MDG) undertakes not only the mechanical design aspects of all the products developed by Chelton but also has under its management strong prototype or/and small volume production facilities. Capabilities include 3D solid modelling, linked to CNC milling machines to enable fast prototyping of complex objects.

Powerful CAD workstations are employed to produce the designs and manufacturing drawings. The group has a wealth of experience in the field of building and integrating equipment specifically for the harsh environment on the surfaces of both military and commercial aircraft.
